| Bruce Morton Wright is the Director/Conductor of the Erie Chamber Orchestra, the successor to the Erie Bayfront Orchestra which he founded in 1978, the Erie Opera Theatre, the Director/Conductor of the Erie Ballet Orchestra and the Director of the Bemus Bay Pops Orchestra. He is also the Music Director at Gannon University . Mr. Wright was the Assistant Conductor of the Vienna Conservatory of Music Orchestra under Herr Josef Muller and made guest appearances with the orchestra. He has also appeared with the Hectel Musik Zyklus von Wien, was guest conductor of the Edinboro Pennsylvania Summer Festivals, the Music Festival of Bear Valley in Bear Valley, California, and the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra. |

| Before returning to Erie , PA , Mr. Wright was the Assistant Conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of Colombia in Bogota , Colombia , guest conductor for the National Band of Colombia. He was also served as the Director of the Music Academy of Tunja, Colombia. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Gannon University and Mercyhurst College in 1969, Kapellmeister Degree from the Vienna Conservatory of Music in 1973, and Master of Public Administration from Gannon University in 2000. Mr. Wright is very active with the Erie community and has served on the boards of the Martin Luther King Center , Perseus House, a center for delinquent youths in Erie , PA and the Erie County Historical Society. Since 1978 he has been an active member of Arts Erie (the Arts Council of Erie) and has served on the boards on the Minority Panel/ Association of Pennsylvania Orchestras Panel/ and Arts Education Panel of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Mr. Wright is a 1997 graduate of "Leadership Erie" and has also served on the boards of the Erie Civic Authority/ the Villa Maria Learning Center and the Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity. Mr. Wright is the recipient of the YMCA's Black Achiever's Award "DREAMING, BELIEVING, and ACHIEVING" in appreciation and recognition for outstanding performance and community service, and the Erie Pennsylvania Summer Festival For The Art's Award for directing the "Robert Christopherson Memorial Violin Competition for Young People." . In 2003 Bruce Morton Wright became a " Trustee" for the Musician's Union Local 17, in Erie , PA. |

| In January 2005 Bruce Morton Wright was invited to performed as a Guest Conductor for the State Theater Orchestra of Hildesheim in Hildesheim , Germany and performed a series of concerts in that city and in surrounding communities and in 2007 he appeared as a Guest Director of the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra at Edinboro University Concert Series. A performer and supporter of the Arts, Bruce Morton Wright possesses a strong commitment to his community and toward furthering the arts in the City of Erie, Pennsylvania and Erie County . The ECO personnel consists of twenty-five to fifty-five professional musicians from the tri-state area who have been performing to enthusiastic and expanding audiences since the founding of the orchestra in 1978. The Orchestra is celebrating it's 32nd Anniversary Season of bringing music to the entire Erie community and the Erie Opera Theatre is celebrating it's 226thth Anniversary Season of also bringing opera to the entire Erie community. |
